The Center for Moving Sound and Image
is a teaching-, research- and development facility of the University of Applied Sciences Mainz
and its partners.
It is both a knowledge base and a creative lab.
Since 2016 we have been working together on sound and image in international exchange
with the universities in Lisbon and Porto. The catalogue is dedicated to the cooperation with these two cities.
This year the cooperation has been extended: with students of the German-Jordanian University, Amman, Jordan, the Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas, UNAM, Mexico City, the RUFA, Rome, Italy andthe St. Joseph's University of Macao, China.
The composer Paulo Ferreira-Lopes and the director Hartmut Jahn are the initiators
of this international platform. Through the collaboration, the network grows:
with Patrícia Gouveia, New Media Theory, the composers António de Sousa Dias, Carlos Caires,
the musicians Ricardo Ribeiro and Henrique Portovedo and the director Yahyah Alabdallah.
The Center for Moving Sound and Image is the platform for documentation and creative exchange,
